Go Tell Somebody

December 11, 2025

If you’ve heard and accepted the Good News of Jesus, there’s only one natural response: tell someone else. The message that saved you is meant to flow through you, not stop with you.

When Jesus called the first disciples, He didn’t give them a lecture or a list of tasks. He gave them an invitation and a purpose:

“‘Come, follow me,’ he said, ‘and I’ll show you how to fish for people.’ Right away, they left their nets and followed him.” — Matthew 4:19–20 (CEB)

Jesus was telling them—and us—something powerful:

“I will teach you how to change lives. I will show you how to bring people into My kingdom. I will show you how to share the Good News.”

Here’s the question: Is anybody going to be in heaven because of you?

It’s a simple but sobering truth:

If you’re not fishing, you’re not following.

If you’re not sharing the Good News, you’re not living as a disciple.

Think of it this way: If you discovered the cure for cancer and kept it quiet, it would be unthinkably wrong. But as a follower of Jesus, you know something infinitely greater. You know how a person can have their past forgiven, find purpose in the present, and secure a home in heaven. And God expects you to share that life-changing message.

You’re here because someone told you about Jesus.

And someone told them.

And someone told them.

Don’t let the chain break with you.

Jesus made your mission unmistakably clear: “Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them… teaching them to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always…”— Matthew 28:19–20 (NLT)

You know the Good News.

You carry the hope the world needs.

Now—it’s time to go tell someone.

I encourage you to invite someone to church this Christmas Eve. Share the Good News of Jesus Christ with them this Christmas.
