We all face fear. Right now, the world feels uncertain, and fear seems to creep into every corner of our lives. But fear has a way of doing more than just unsettling us—it can paralyze us. It can stop us from doing the very things we know God is calling us to do.
Listen, no matter what happens in our world, our mission doesn’t change. We are called to Christ and we are called to share the Good News of Jesus and love people to him. That’s the mission. Love God, love people, share the Good News.
Now is the time for bold faith.
Think about Daniel standing in the lion’s den. He lived in a society that was opposed to God. And, standing in that Lion’s den, he had every reason to give in to fear, yet he chose faith. Like him, we encounter moments when people or circumstances threaten our faith and witness for Christ. And
in those moments, the question is simple but life-changing:
Will we surrender to fear, or will we stand up for God in spite of our fear? Will we hide? Or will we be bold in our faith?
Here’s the truth: every time you give in to fear, it grows. And the more you allow it to control your choices, the smaller your life becomes. Eventually, you feel cornered—boxed in by worries, anxieties, and “what ifs.”
But every time you take a stand for God, fear loses its grip.
That’s exactly what we see in the early church. Peter and John faced threats for boldly proclaiming Jesus in Acts 4. Instead of backing down, they turned to God in prayer: “Lord, take notice of the threats they have made, and allow us, your servants, to speak your message with all boldness” (Acts 4:29 GNT). They didn’t ask for the threats to disappear—they asked for the courage to face them.
That’s the key: fear isn’t defeated by avoiding it, but by moving forward in faith despite it.
The only way to conquer fear is to trust God and take the next step.
Remember this principle: God often waits for you to step out in faith before He shows you the way. When the Jordan River stood in Israel’s path, the water didn’t part until the priests’ feet touched it (Joshua 3:15–16). God didn’t clear the obstacle in advance—He moved once His people moved.
It’s the same with you. If you’re waiting for fear to vanish before you act, you’ll wait forever. But if you take even one step of faith, you’ll see God’s power unfold before your eyes.
So what step is fear keeping you from today? Sharing your faith? Making a decision you know God is prompting you to make?
Take that step. Trust God. Watch fear crumble as His boldness fills you.
