Our Response to COVID-19

We are following the recommendations of the CDC and Florida Departments of Health for how best to respond to the developing situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19). Therefore, all services have been moved to online for the next few weeks.

We will continue to gather online Sundays at 9am and 10:45am (EST).

Church is still happening even though our building is closed! Connection is key. Our church was built for this. Over the next few days we will provide more details about some easy ways to stay connected.

LIVE Evening Prayers

You can join pastor Jerry for a time of prayer and community on Facebook LIVE in the evenings Monday - Saturday at a time TBD. Stay connected by one of the ways above to find out about those live meet-ups.

Life Groups Go Virtual

We will be encouraging our Life Group Leaders to meet online.

Zoom is a great tool to use for virtual small groups, and we will be providing the necessary training in the coming days. But, in the meantime, you can check Zoom out here: (https://zoom.us/)

Give grace for yourself and your group. This may come with a learning curve, and that is okay! This is new, and the purpose is to connect.

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE DOING AS A CHURCH STAFF

TRUSTING GOD
Viral disease is a fact of biological existence and part of creation. Keeping perspective and not panicking apply here, just as they do for all risks we face as creatures in a finite world. No matter how dire circumstances get, the Lord remains our refuge and strength, “an ever-present help in trouble” (Ps. 46:1). To trust in the Lord amid trouble is to experience and bear witness to the power of Christ.

PRAYING
We must pray for the sick and the scared, for public health officials, for doctors and nurses, for researchers, and for caregivers. As Christians, we believe prayer has power, so we seek help from the Lord.

STAYING INFORMED
The media is inundated with daily updates and it’s impossible to read, absorb and respond to every news report, Tweet, or latest rumor. We’re following a reliable list of information for educational, planning and management purposes.

PREPARING TO EQUIP THE CHURCH TO BE THE CHURCH
Every need in the world is an opportunity to share God's love. That's why, as a church family, we're responding to the COVID-19 crisis, not by panicking or hiding out of fear, but by serving the people who are most vulnerable. In the coming weeks we will be determining the best way to help our surrounding community.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
